AOIF entertained the home crowd for the first time in the 2018 season and the result was a 3-1 home victory over Stilling IF.

Double Golden Boot winner Ross Bissland opened his account for the season, with a typical strikers goal from close range. The former team captain seemed to have recaptured some of his old form, adding an assist to cap a fine display.

A hard working defensive display from AOIF,  did however come unstuck just before the half time break, when a long range free kick skimmed the top of debutant Lewis Fishers head and flew into the roof of the net.

The lads would not give in however and from the start of the second half, the home side went 2-1 up with the help of an own goal. The game was soon over as Lewis Fisher redeemed himself with fantastic first goal for the club.

A unit performance saw the likes of Graham Maclachlan, Richard Mackrill, Sam "the catalyst" Evans, Tim Smalley and Greg Stevens cover every blade of grass.

Captain Jacob Toft gave a Man of the Match performance which was shared by goalkeeper Neil Smith for "that save".

AOIF now have a week off to rest their tired bodies before they are back in action again. They intend to stay put on top of the league.
