We are looking for a motivated, flexible, and efficient assistant in the Membrane Transporter laboratory, at Dept. Molecular Biology and Genetics, Aarhus University.
 

Expected start date and duration of employment

The desired starting date is April 1st 2024 (or as soon as possible thereafter).

The position is a permanent position, but it is dependent on external funding.
 

Job description

Your duties will be to assist with practical routine matters in the laboratories, such as preparing buffers and media, producing stock solutions, and filling up consumables.
 

Your profile

Previous experience in a laboratory is of advantage, but not a demand.

Candidates for the position must be motivated, flexible, and efficient. Desired personal skills include being ambitious, the ability to take ownership, and possession of good communicative and interpersonal skills.
 

Who we are

The laboratory is shared between 3 research groups; Poul Nissen’s research group (studies membrane proteins in the brain), Rasmus Kock Flygaard’s research group (studies mitochondrial cardiolipin synthase), and Joseph Lyons’ research group (studies lipid transport and metabolism).
