The Department of Biomedicine at Faculty of Health at Aarhus University invites applications for a position as a Centre Administrator for PROMEMO – Center for Proteins in Memory as per 1 December 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is a permanent full-time position.

Your job responsibilities
As Centre Administrator, your primary tasks are to support the Centre Director, run the day-to-day operation of the centre, and be the “go-to” person for the staff, students, and guests of the centre. As Centre Administrator, you are responsible for coordinating, developing and strengthening a collaborative and inclusive culture at a high professional level together with the Centre Director.
Your main tasks will consist of:
- day-to-day operation of the centre, in collaboration with the Centre Director
- supporting the Centre Director - PA tasks, strategic sparring, fundraising
- project management, including financial overviews, day-to-day monitoring of activities, and reports for funding bodies
- planning and facilitating Scientific Advisory Board, management and project meetings
- being the administrative link between the departments involved
- being the “go-to” person for the staff, students, and guests of the centre
- organising and facilitating meetings, workshops, retreats, conferences, etc.
- coordinate activities, which build and strengthen a dynamic, inclusive, and collaborative culture within the centre
- responsible for efficient internal and external communication, including website, newsletter, SoMe etc.
- coordinate job postings with HR, support the recruitment process for the center, and provide on- and off-boarding of staff, students, and guests
You will report to Professor Anders Nykjær.
Your competences
You have a relevant background within research management, administrative processes, and experience with biomedical research at the PhD level. You have experience form a similar position and are used to working in an international research environment, having deep insight into the framework and conditions of research.
As a person, you are structured and have excellent planning and facilitating skills. You have good interpersonal skills, are inclusive and team-oriented and able to contribute to and strengthen a good work environment through initiative and drive.
We expect you to be fluent in oral and written English and have excellent communication skills.
