The Department of Biomedicine at Faculty of Health at Aarhus University invites applications for a position as a Lab Coordinator within biomedicine as per 1 December 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is a permanent full-time position.

Your job responsibilities
As Lab Coordinator (academic employee), your primary tasks are lab organization, management and coordination of mass spectrometry equipment. You contribute to an international and diverse laboratory through initial method development, training and supervising new team members, and maintenance of instruments. In your daily work, you have a close interaction with competent colleagues. Our laboratory owns a Triple Quadrupole instrument (Agilent 6495) as well as an exploris instrument coupled with UPLC and nLC.
Your main tasks will consist of:
- Mass spectrometry method development and maintenance
- Supervising handling and initial troubleshooting of chromatography systems in collaboration with other team members
- Management of instrument time
- Research support and training within the lab
- Teaching and assignment supervision
- Administrative responsibilities in collaboration with other technical staff
You will report to Markus Rinschen, Associate Professor in Biomedicine.
Your competences
You have a background within biochemistry, analytical chemistry, or mass spectrometry and experience in managing and training junior colleagues. Interest in biomedical processes, as well as coding skills are a plus but not required. You are highly communicative and can adapt to changes in a dynamic, friendly and forward-thinking lab. You are creative how to solve problems and like to get things done.
As a person, you have good interpersonal skills, are inclusive and team-oriented and able to contribute to a good work environment.
We expect you to be fluent in oral and written English.

Your place of work will be the Department of Biomedicine, Høegh Guldbergsgade 10, DK-8000 Aarhus C, Denmark.
We expect to conduct interviews as soon as possible or in the third week of October (1st round). You may be given a case in connection with the interviews.

Terms of employment and pay are regulated by the collective agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and Academics in the State (AC).
