Located at Fiskerivej 12 in the wooden ship harbor in Aarhus, Restaurant Anker sits amidst boats, fishing vessels, and the sound of waves. We're a restaurant that doesn't take itself too seriously. Here, you won't find stiff upper lips or servers with their noses in the air, but rather a dedicated team focused on providing a great dining experience.

Situated in the front row by the water, we have the opportunity to source our fish from the local fishmongers who have just pulled them from the depths. In addition to our sea-inspired dishes, we also serve a variety of other delicacies.

Who is Smag & Slægt?

Restaurant Anker is part of the Smag & Slægt group. Smag & Slægt is the company behind Restaurant Martino, Den Lille Kro, Restaurant Anker, Restaurant NorR, and Surf Café in Aarhus C, as well as Restaurant MAST in Middelfart.

All six locations are run by the Schultz family with a passion for the trade and good service!

Who Are You?

You should have the desire and skills to manage our kitchen operations and ensure that our guests have the best experience possible. Additionally, you should be willing to join a modern and dynamic team with chefs, apprentices, and kitchen assistants, where the team values high quality, elegant service, high hygiene standards, and a love for the craft.

We expect that you:

  • Are a trained chef or have documented experience in the kitchen
  • Are accustomed to and enjoy being busy, and can maintain overview both in prep and during service
  • Are responsible and take pride in quality
  • Are adaptable and willing to lend a hand in other areas of the restaurant
  • Are available to work weekends and evenings, as that's when we're busiest
