BEMÆRK: Ansøgningsfristen er overskredet

A position as Postdoctoral scientist in Plant Molecular Biology is available at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Aarhus University, Denmark.

Expected start date and duration of employment

The position is for a two-year period starting from November 1st 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Job description

The position is anchored in the Engineering Nitrogen Symbiosis for Africa consortium that uses synthetic biology approaches to engineer nitrogen symbiosis into nonleguminous plants. In this consortium a detailed molecular understanding of the signalling components in
both legumes and non-legumes are essential for an informed and rational engineering approach.

The Postdoctoral candidate is expected to take responsibility for the ongoing investigation and engineering of non-legume LysM receptors and other components of
the signalling cascade using plant molecular biology. Training and experience with
Golden Gate systems and a strong background in immunity and symbiosis signalling
involved in plant-microbe interactions is expected.
