The National Centre for Register-based Research (NCRR) wants to hire an Academic Officer for a project focused on psychiatric epidemiology. NCRR is part of Aarhus BSS at Aarhus University, and is financed mainly by external research funds (www.ncrr.au.dk). The center carries out register-based research, primarily within psychiatric epidemiology. Data sources are ongoingly expanded and include, e.g., health data in general, and psychiatric disorders in particular, prescriptions, socioeconomic covariates, and genetics.
The place of work is Fuglesangs Allé 26, 8210 Aarhus V, and the area of employment is the National Centre for Register-based Research, Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University.
Job description
The work is primarily of a research supporting nature. The tasks include datamanagement, systematic quality assurancance of data, designing studies, data analyses, and presentation of results in collaboration with researchers. Collaborators include researchers at NCRR, national and international collaborators. The starting date is September 1st 2023, and the duration of the employment will be 3 years full-time.

Your profile
Besides having a strong motivation to work with psychiatric epidemiology and data analyses, the Academic Officer has:
Qualifications
• A master's degree in statistics, mathematics or similar
• Speaks English at a high level, both orally and in writing
And experience with
• Register data in connection with research projects
• Epidemiological analyses
• Danish personal registers, including registers at Statistics Denmark and the Danish Health Data Authority
• Practical experience with R and/or STATA
