We are looking for a backend developer who can help us elevate our our platform to new heights. Might that be you? In addition to being a technically proficient developer, we envision that you are curious, creative, possess good communication skills, and find it motivating to actively participate in decision-making processes and take responsibility when selecting and planning new projects.
Your qualities from day one:
You're a developer who tries to see the bigger picture and can understand the user experience for both our instructors and students when using our platform. When you write code, you put effort into it because you know that those who later read your code need as much help as possible to understand what's going on. After all, it's most meaningful to build the kind of house you'd like to live in.
- You have a strong professional foundation and experience in goal-oriented programming.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written (Danish is not a requirement).
- You give and receive feedback in a constructive manner.

About More Music Technologies and what we do:
More Music Technologies is built on a fundamental love for music and a desire for more people to have access to unfolding their musical dreams. We have developed a platform with an online marketplace for private music lessons, making qualified music education more accessible to the general population and providing teaching opportunities for many musicians.
Since 2014, over 50,000 students have found music lessons through one of our sites in Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. It's actually going quite well, if we may say so ourselves. That's why we need an extra sharp mind for the team.
Your role in the development team:
You will play a key role as a backend developer but are expected to be versatile across the entire stack. This may involve collaboration with a UI developer and taking on responsibilities where more complex frontend programming is required.
You can independently create sandbox prototypes for our platform and refine these solutions while working with our development team.
You are flexible in your approach to problem-solving and open to finding solutions that can be adapted based on time efficiency and the best fit for our situation. It's also important that you are comfortable discussing your ideas within the development team and open to challenges during code/solution reviews. We support each other, make each other better, and would rather make mistakes and learn from them than risk not making a difference in the world.
Initially, you will be in close contact with our Lead Developer, Ben, who will ensure you become familiar with both the code and the team. From there, you will gradually take on more responsibility for the areas of our platform that you develop within.

Laravel Developer Responsibilities
Mentioned below are some of the significant roles and responsibilities as a laravel developer:
- Using standard development tools, create, develop and manage our web platform.
- Use backend data solutions and expertise to expand current data services.
- Collaboration work for UI development on our platform.
- From the idea stage through delivery & post-launch maintenance, you will be capable of taking responsibility during the whole web development lifecycle.
- Convey all work progress, assessments, proposals, timetables, and technical and analytical difficulties properly.
- Keep up with the latest web development trends and technologies.'
Laravel Developer Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in object-oriented programming.
- Experience in developing applications using Laravel or any other MVC frameworks.
- Should have an excellent grasp of version control technologies, relational databases, and web service development.
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, Alpine, tailwind.
- Familiarity with the limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
- Intentional commitment to code quality through bug fixes, refactoring.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering business value quickly.
Physical Setting:
Our main office is located in Aarhus C with easy access to parking, and there will be six employees, including you. We have three days a week when everyone is in the office and two days a week where it's optional whether you want to work in the office or remotely.
