Artelia Group Esbjerg is looking for a Lead Piping Engineer on offshore design projects.
Job Description
- Working as Lead Piping Engineer on offshore design projects, your focus will typically be on piping layout and design of greenfield and brownfield modification projects as well as lifetime extension projects.
- Furthermore, you will be a main player in the green transition to renewable projects (Wind and PTX).
- You will be first mover in establishing the technical environment in Denmark and be joining the technical environment in the overall Artelia Group.
Essential Skills
- Engineering Degree in (Piping) Mechanical Engineering.
- Work experience from the Danish/ Norwegian offshore energy production industry - or renewable energy Sector, production/marine facilities as a piping/mechanical/Lead engineer with general knowledge of MOTS-MODES, GS and NORSOK will be an advantage.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- Familiar in key piping competencies, including Piping Design/Routing, Plant Layout, Stress Analysis and Piping Materials for the offshore energy production industry.
- General knowledge of piping engineering design, including component calculations according to ASME/EN.
- Knowledge of PCS, PDS, VDS.
- Good knowledge and understanding of Standards (EN, ASME, ASTM) PED/PER) and other International Codes and Standards, are required.
- Good knowledge of process and flow diagrams.
- Calculation experience. Candidates with experience with Calculation of Pipe Classes, Internal and external pressure, vacuum Calculations for Piping, will be preferred.
- Excellent understanding of International Standards and Project Specifications.
- Excellent coordination skills between all disciplines and good presentation skills within teamwork.
- Systematic, multidiscipline understanding and solution-oriented approach.
- Have a cooperative working attitude and be systematic, accurate and detail focused.
- Intercultural competence and acceptance for multicultural working teams.
- Project tasks will vary from smaller to larger projects with varying length, content, and complexity, from high- level screening study to Detail Design.
- Offshore Survey certificate would be beneficial, but not a requirement.
- Good communication skills in English with the ability to work as part of a team interfacing with other disciplines.
Some of your tasks and responsibilities
- The requirement to undertake a Lead Piping Engineer role, to coordinate the design of the 3D Basic Design, 3D Detailed Design, 2D Isometric Design, Pipe Stressing Requirements and the development of piping documentation including Line list, Schedules, Specifications, and preparation of PED Technical Files. Preparation of the technical files will include liaison with 3rd Party assessors.
- Set up and develop overall piping layouts and design of piping solutions.
- Coordinate with other design disciplines and piping 3D/2D team to deliver piping design 2D drawings.
- Project tasks will vary from smaller to larger projects with varying length, content, and complexity, from high- level screening study to Detail Design.
- Be a part of the Offshore Survey team.
