The Department of Biomedicine at Faculty of Health at Aarhus University invites applications for a position as lab coordinator (AC TAP) within biomedicine as per 1 October 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is a permanent full-time position.

Your job responsibilities


As Lab coordinator (AC TAP), your primary tasks are lab organization and management. You contribute to an international and diverse laboratory through maintenance of instruments, initial method development and training and supervising new team member. In your daily work, you have a close interaction with competent colleagues. Our laboratory owns a Triple Quadrupole instrument (Agilent 6495) as well as an exploris instrument coupled with UPLC and nLC.

Your main tasks will consist of:

  • Mass spectrometry maintenance and calibration
  • Handling and initial troubleshooting of LCs in collaboration with other team members
  • Management of measuring time
  • Research support within the lab
  • Administrative responsibilities in collaboration with other technical staff.

You will report to Markus Rinschen, Associate Professor in Biomedicine.


Your competences


You have a background within mass spectrometry and experience in managing and training junior colleagues. A PhD is preferred. Interest in biomedical processes, as well as coding skills are a plus but not required. You are highly communicative and can adapt to changes in a dynamic, friendly and forward-thinking lab. You are creative how to move things forward and like to get things done.

As a person, you have good interpersonal skills, are inclusive and team-oriented and able to contribute to a good work environment.

We expect you to be fluent in oral and written English.
